Google Assistant’s New Ambient Mode, Voice Command Support for WhatsApp Audio and Video Calls:
Google announced its new Ambient mode in Google Assistant At IFA 2019. This features transforms Android devices into smart displays and also enable to make video and voice calls via WhatsApp.
The big tech giant Google has announced a new Ambient Mode in Google Assistant. Google said that Ambient Mode will first come on the upcoming Lenovo Smart Tab M8, Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab, Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 when they are kept on charge.
Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram Lander to Soft Land on the Moon Tonight: ISRO
ISRO said that Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram lander will land on the Moon tonight. Touchdown timing is between 1:30am and 2:30am on September 7, 2019.
In the below video, ISRO explained how Vikram lander machine will befitted with three cameras, Lander Position Detection Camera, Lander Horizontal Velocity Camera and Lander Hazardous Detection.
There will be also a Laser Altimeter which is an instrument used to learn about the shape of the surface of a planet.
Facebook, Microsoft Launch Contest to Detect Deepfake Videos:
On Thursday, the big tech giant Facebook and Microsoft said in a blog post that they are going to associate on AI coalition and academics from several universities to launch a contest to better detect deepfakes.
These companies are putting $10 million into the “Deepfake Detection Challenge”. It’s aim is to spur detection research.
Facebook Dating Launched in the US:
On Thursday, the tech giant Facebook has launched its online dating service in the United State. This service of Facebook will compete with the smartphone app like Tinder etc.
This features main aim is to connect people in “real” long-term relationships. The head of the project Nathan Sharp said that Facebook Dating allows you to match with friends of friends and/or people not in your friend circle.
An AI First: Voice-Mimicking Software Reportedly Used in a Major Theft
Now-a-days thieves are using voice-mimicking software to duplicate a company executive’s speech and cheat their subordinate to send thousands of dollars to a secret account.
French insurance representatives Euler Hermes said that the managing director of a British energy company believed that his boss was on the phone and followed orders one Friday afternoon of $240,000 (around Rs. 1.7 crores) to an account.
Xiaomi has shipped 100 million smartphones in India:
On Friday, Xiaomi said that they have shipped 100 million plus smartphones in India which is the best market for them.
The Chinese tech giant, which is the top smartphone vendor in India for the last eight quarters. They said that budget smartphone series Redmi and Redmi Note are the top selling smartphones in India. And hence they achieved this big target.
Lenovo Yoga C940, Yoga S740, Yoga C740, and Yoga C640 Launched at IFA 2019:
On Thursday, Lenovo at their IFA 2019 event launched four new Yoga laptops. The launched Yoga models are the Yoga C940, Yoga S740, Yoga C740, and the Yoga C640. And the first three are available in 14-inch and 15-inch variants too. But the Yoga C640 variant is only available in 13-inch.
The Lenovo Yoga C940 is carrying a price tag starting from EUR 1,499 for the 14-inch model. The 15-inch model is carrying a price tag of EUR 1,899. Some of the variants will come on sale from September and some of them will come from October month.
Nubia Red Magic 3S Gaming Phone With Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, 5,000mAh Battery Launched:
The ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia launched its new Red Magic 3S gaming smartphone in China. This smartphone is coming with Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, up to 12GB of RAM, and UFS 3.0 storage and many more.
The phone is having a 48-megapixel rear camera, 5,000mAh battery. The Nubia Red Magic 3S is carrying a price tag of CNY 2,999 (aroung Rs 30,100) for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. But for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, price is CNY 3,799 (around Rs. 38,200) . These two phones will go on sale on 9th of September.
Motorola One Zoom With Quad Rear Cameras, Moto E6 Plus With Dual Rear Cameras Launched:
On Thursday, Motorola launched its Motorola One Zoom and Moto E6 Plus at IFA 2019. These smartphones are coming with a quad rear camera setup that gives 3x optical zoom. And also 10x hybrid zoom with a 48-megapixel primary camera sensor. The Moto E6 Plus comes with a notch display and dual rear camera setup.
The Motorola One Zoom is carrying a price starting from EUR 429 (around Rs. 34,000). And this will go on sale in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and other Latin American countries from 5th of September. This phone will be available in Brushed Bronze, Cosmic Purple, and Electric Grey color variants.
Vivo Z1x With 48-Megapixel Triple Rear Camera Setup, Snapdragon 712 SoC Launched in India:
On Friday, Vivo launched its Vivo Z1x smartphone in India. This phone comes with 48-megapixel triple rear camera, 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W FlashCharge tech and also with AMOLED display. And also with in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Vivo Z1x is carrying a price tag of Rs. 16,990 for its 6GB RAM + 64GB variant and Rs. 18,990 for its 6GB RAM+128GB variant. The smartphone will be available in Fusion Blue and also in Phantom Purple color variants.
