WhatsApp Bug Could Have Allowed Hackers to Steal Files, Messages With GIFs:

On Wednesday, the Next Web reported that the Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp had a security bug which could allow the hacker to steal data by using a malicious GIF file.

The report also added the process of attacking, this attacking is done by crafting a malicious GIF, and wait for the user to open the WhatsApp gallery.

This vulnerability is officially patched in WhatsApp of 2.19.244 version.

WhatsApp Working on Self-Destructing Messages Feature:

From the recently released beta version v2.19.275 of WhatsApp, it has been found that WhatsApp is testing a new feature for its users to send disappearing messages. This message is self-destructed i.e, this message will get disappeared after a selected period of time. This features are under development phase and are not available for public use.

According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp is actively working on such features and soon going to release bug-free WhatsApp update.

India Sent Most Content Removal Requests to Tech Giants:

According to the study of Britain-based tech research firm Comparitech, India has made its 1st position in the list of countries in terms of sending online content removal requests to big tech giants like Facebook, Twitter, Google, Microsoft and open encyclopaedia Wikimedia.

In this list of such countries, India is followed by Russia, Turkey, France, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Pakistan, the US and the UK in the top 10.

Google Play Found 172 Malicious Apps With 335 Million plus Downloads in September:

According to the report of ESET researcher Lukas Stefanko, The total of 172 infected apps have been found on Google Play store which is having 335 million-plus downloads in September alone. He also said that most of these apps are infected by harbouring adware.

As per the report, most of these malicious app has been removed.

Google Pixel 4 XL has leaked in two different colour options one is “Clearly White” and other is “Oh So Orange”. This Pixel 4 XL is seen as its having a notch-less display and square triple camera set up same as Pixel 4.

Tipster Evan Blass has leaked this phone in both Clearly White and Oh So Orange colours. This Pixel 4 Xl design looks same as Pixel 4 which was leaked earlier this week by Blass.

In the White color model, it seems to have an orange coloured power button.

Microsoft on Wednesday announced a device of twin-screens which is like books. This device is designed to fit into a pants pocket and comes with two “paper-thin” 5.6-inch screens.

According to the report, the company is going to launch Google Pixel Buds 2 earphone on the 15th of October. This device might compete with Apple’s AirPods.

In the Microsoft’s October 2019 Event the company announced various gadgets including Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7, Surface Earbuds, Surface Neo, Surface Pro X, and Surface Duo.

Surface Pro 7: This device is a tablet updated version of Surface Pro 6 tablet. This device is coming with USB Type-C port, 10G Intel Core CPUs and storage options up to 1TB. This device is going to launch on the 22nd of October and will carry a cost of $749.

Surface Earbuds is the company’s 1st ever noise-cancelling wireless earbuds which cost is at $249. Surface Neo is two 9-inch tablets put together into a dual-screen machine. And Surface Pro X is the first ARM-based Surface, powered by a custom SQ1 processor. The laptop is coming with integrated LTE support, USB-C, and fast charging to the boot. This laptop is coming from the 5th of November and carrying a price of $999.

LG has launched its Tone+ Free Truly Wireless Earbuds:

LG Tone+ Free is truly wireless earbuds and having features like Meridian Audio tuning, a noise cancellation microphone and many more. This device is coming with a charging unit built into the case of the earbuds and also has a built-in UV light that disinfects these earbuds.

This device launched in South Korea for the cost of KRW 259,999 (approximately Rs. 15,300). The earbuds are available in two colour options Black and White.
