IIT Guwahati Develops AI-Powered ‘Smart-Engineer’:
For advancing greater penetration of Electric Vehicles (EVs), the IIT Guwahati on Saturday announced the development of ‘Smart-Engineer’ which is Artificial Intelligence (AI) assisted engineering system design tool.
According to IIT Guwahati current version of the Smart-Engineer is able to design the induction motors. And also said that the early results are very promising. And now they are intended to expand the capability of Smart-Engineer to include the finer aspects of motor design.
Xiaomi Sold 5.3 Million Devices During festive Sale Period, 3.8 Million of Which Were Smartphones:
On Saturday, the Chinese tech company Xiaomi told that they have sold 5.3 million-plus devices. Out of 5.3 million, 3.8 million were smartphones and rest includes televisions, Mi Band wearables, earphones and many mi products.
This record has been achieved including the sale of Mi.com, Amazon and Flipkart.
Call of Duty Mobile Game Crossed 35 Million plus Downloads:
The Call of Duty game developed by Tencent Games. This game has crossed the level of 35 million downloads on Android and iOS platform. They achieved this record with the 3 days of the official launch. It had crossed the 20 million installs within the 2 days of the official launch.
The Call of Duty: Mobile has made its 1st position on the App Store in more than 100 countries worldwide. This game support iPhone, iPad models as well as Android devices.
PayPal Abandons Facebook’s Libra Cryptocurrency Group:
On Friday, the digital payments firm PayPal said that they are taking care of Facebook’s alliance of Libra cryptocurrency. Paypal is doing so because the Libra technology has come under attack by regulators.
According to the report of AFP, PayPal has made the decision to help further participation in the Libra Association. And also said that PayPal will remain supportive of the Libra association and looking forward to working together in future.
Google May Acquire Firework to compete ByteDance’s TikTok:
The big tech giant Google is planning to purchase a US-based company Firework. This Firework company allows its users to share short video same like TikTok. Google has planned this for competing with TikTok.
Firework is carrying a value of more than $100 million. Whereas Beijing-based ByteDance’s TikTok app is also carrying a value of around $75 billion.
Samsung Galaxy A20s With Triple Rear Cameras Launched in India:
Samsung has again launched its new A-series smartphone Samsung Galaxy A20s in India. Last month the same phone was launched in Malaysia. This phone is the upgraded version of Samsung Galaxy A20 which was launched earlier this year. This new smartphone is coming with an HD+ display, triple rear cameras, and also with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. This device is available in different colour options like Black, Blue, and Green.
The Samsung Galaxy A20s is carrying a price range of Rs. 11,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and also Rs. 13,999 for its 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option. This phone is coming on sale from today through the Samsung India eShop, Samsung Opera House. And also through retail stores across the country.
