US and France Agreement on Digital Taxes:
French President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday that the U.S. and France have reached an agreement to settle their differences over a French tax on big tech giant companies like Facebook, Amazon and Google.
Macron also said that France will eliminate its tax when a new international agreement on digital taxation is reached. In this deal, France will eliminate its 3% tax . The companies that pay France’s tax will be reimbursed when the international agreement is in place.
Facebook Working on New App to its competitor Snapchat, Called Threads:
The top social giants Facebook is now working on a new messaging app called “Threads” which will share your status, location and more with your closest friends. This step can be a fresh assault on Snapchat.
The Thread will invite users to automatically share their location, speed, and battery life with friends, along with more typical text, photo, and video messages using Instagram’s creative tools.
Chandrayaan-2: Fresh Photos of Moon Craters Released by ISRO
The ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) on Monday released a fresh photographs of the moon’s surface and its craters, taken by the Terrain Mapping Camera-2 of the Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft
ISRO said that the pictures were taken on 23rd of August at an altitude of about 4,375 kms showing impact craters like Jackson, Mitra, Mach, and Korolev.
Google Chromecast 1st Gen Will not Get Updates any more but Will Still Receive Bug and Security Fixes:
Google launched its product Chromecast in July 2013. According to a new report, if you’re still using the original Google Chromecast, you’ll not receive firmware updates any more. This device will still receive bug and security fixe updates.
The 2013 version of chromecast is on 1.36.157768 firmware version, while the later versions are on 1.40.156414 firmware version. The preview program versions have an even wider version difference. This indicates that firmware updates have stopped for the six-year-old device.
Soyuz Spacecraft Carrying Russian Humanoid Robot Docks at ISS After Failed Attempt:

For improving rider experience in India, Uber on Tuesday announced a 24×7 safety helpline number for its user which will provide services like co-passenger’s misbehaviour, dispute with a driver or break-down while on a trip etc.
This additional feature is with the in-app SOS button already available in the safety toolkit which allows riders to connect to law enforcement authorities in case of any emergency.
